Magic is a North American Miniature Australian Shepherd. He was
born in Hawthorne, CA. Although he is registered as a black tri, look
carefully at his face and temples... you'll see the little flecks of grey
that suggest he's really a "phantom" merle. This is by far the
smartest dog that I've ever handled (and I have 2 Border Collies!).
He could do the agility weave poles at 4 months of age. Totally
devoted to trying to steal food... he's an outrageous "countertop
surfer". He's also the first dog that I've owned that was kicked out of
a boarding facility "for barking too much"...(psst.. it's called "breed
character"). He's my first "dual" sport dog that competes in multiple
sports at the same time. He has his NAP, NJP, OAP and OJP agility
titles and has qualifying scores in NADAC and USDAA agility as well.
Every group has a geek... the guy who forever will wear a "cosmic
kick me sign" on his back. That's Magic. If Tia were still alive, even
she would pick on him. Old, blind Dodger does. Magic hangs with
mom, or anyplace Jeep isn't.
