Savvy, Duncan, June, Ryver; AWESOME. Rascal, Charm; not so much. There
were only a couple mistakes for each of them. Ryver has figured out this is a
race and she really puts on the afterburners when she heads down the lane.
We saw we’ve got some fine tuning of her box turn to do but even the judge
made a nice comment about the girl. And when the Malinois from INXS was
talking big smack to her, she just looked at him over her shoulder as calm as
could be. Lynn wasn’t so calm.
Duncan ran his little legs off. I didn’t make note of it but I think he spit ball just
before the start line only a couple of times. In one race that ball started to slip,
I was watching. And he crossed the finish line with the fuzz clenched in his
teeth and the ball outside his mouth. But he carried it that was all the way back
to the 30 foot line. Way to go Duncan.
On Sunday Duncan shared height dog duties with June. That girl really likes
flyball, likes the treats she gets, like barking at the other dogs and letting her
housemates know, neener neener I’m out with mom and you’re not.
David is kind of liking the start position. We switch Rio and Savvy around as
the start dog so that Rio didn’t have to rerun false starts so much. David your
reaction times are getting really good. Savvy is more and more excited to run
each time she’s out there.
Kelso, Callie, Rio, Milo, Pebbles, we owe you and your handlers a big thanks.
It is great to have steady dogs to help the newbies along. Thank you Lia for
coming out and helping and getting more experience with the jobs. Cudos to
our Sunday box loaders Marjie and Lia.

Thanks to Lia's friend Veronique for pitching in with ball shagging.
